1. What data Carethread collects
- Account information: We collect your email address and display name to create your account.
- Care team data: We store patient codes and care team membership details to connect you with your team.
- Care notes: We store the notes, vitals, and timestamps you enter to provide the logging history.
- App usage data: We collect basic diagnostic data to ensure the app is working correctly.
- Website analytics: On the public website, we may collect privacy-friendly usage analytics such as visits, pages viewed, traffic sources, device information, country or region, and interactions such as button clicks. Our web analytics provider does not use cookies or collect personal data by default.
2. What the app does NOT collect
- No photos or videos.
- No audio recordings.
- No file uploads.
- No advertising data.
- We do not sell data to third parties.
3. How data is used
We use your data solely to:
- Provide care team coordination and logging features.
- Maintain app functionality, security, and sync data between your devices.
4. Data sharing
- Data is shared only with members of the same care team that you join or create.
- We do not share data with third parties, except for essential providers required to run and understand the service, such as hosting, authentication, and privacy-friendly website analytics.
5. Data retention and deletion
- You are in control: You can delete your account at any time within the app settings.
- Web deletion requests: You can also request account deletion at carethread.app/delete-account.
- Immediate removal: Account deletion immediately removes your access.
- Team data: If a care team has no members left (orphaned), its data is retained for up to 30 days and then permanently deleted.
- Archives: Archived care teams remain accessible to existing members until they leave or delete the team.
